Throughout my being reverberates
The divine song of creation
It is not one of heavenly harp strings
Nor angelic choirs chanting
For it's a metallic roar of chaotic forces
Briefly shackled to the same terrestrial anchor
It's the rippling song of blood and mucus
And a myriad of synapses firing in unison
God hears my thoughts
God grants my wishes
God wreaks havoc upon the weak and the wicked
Perplexed by the brittle beauty of life
And by how little it takes to erase it
How soft and tender the skin is to the touch
And how slender the blade which impales it
Some kneel before nothing
Empty hands lifted towards equally empty skies
Deaf to the roar, blind to the light, numb to the rumbling vibration
Resouding through the bones and shattering all ties
I hear my thoughts
I grant my wishes
I wreak havoc upon the weak and the wicked
